Anthony Roy is a social studies educator and founding faculty member of Connecticut River cademy at Goodwin College, a public interdistrict magnet high school in East Hartford, Connecticut. Tony uses his background in history, public history, and education to design and implement curricula grounded in inquiry, regional studies, and real-world applications. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he has presented at several annual conferences: Magnet Schools of America in 2013 and 2014; Connecticut Council for the Social Studies in 2013; and the 2014 Association for Humanist Sociologists. Presentation topics have included “21st century learning” and “taking informed action.” In May 2014, he received the John H. Stedman Passion for the Social Studies award and joined the Connecticut Council for the Social Studies Board of Directors.
